These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the DocBasePro website at https://docbasepro.com ("Website") and the services provided by DocBasePro. By using our Website and services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of DocBasePro

DocBasePro is an AI-powered document management and search platform that enables users to upload documents (PDF, DOCX, TXT), perform semantic search, and receive AI-generated answers with citations.

2. Subscription and Payment

DocBasePro operates on a subscription model with three tiers: Starter ($12/month), Pro ($29/month), and Team ($79/month). Subscriptions auto-renew monthly unless canceled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period.

3. Document Upload and Storage

You retain ownership of all documents you upload to DocBasePro. By uploading documents, you grant DocBasePro a limited license to process, store, and generate embeddings for the purpose of providing our services. We do not use your documents to train AI models or share them with third parties.

4. Usage Limits

Each subscription tier includes specific limits on the number of documents and collections you can create. These limits are enforced to ensure fair usage and service quality. Exceeding your plan limits will require upgrading to a higher tier.

5. User Data and Privacy

We collect and store user data including name, email, authentication information, and payment details as necessary to provide our services. 6. AI-Generated Content

DocBasePro uses OpenAI's GPT models to generate answers based on your documents. AI-generated responses are provided for informational purposes only and should not be considered professional advice. Always verify critical information from source documents.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:
- Upload illegal, harmful, or malicious content
- Attempt to reverse engineer or abuse our services
- Share account credentials with unauthorized users
- Use the service to violate any applicable laws or regulations

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.

9. Refund Policy

We offer refunds within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase if you are not satisfied with the service. Contact us to request a refund. Subsequent monthly charges are non-refundable.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

11. Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Users will be notified of material changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
